NYR/NJD 4/5 Game Review: Blueshirts Show No Signs of Urgency, Desperation or Interest in Winning; Get Shut Out in Newark Again, The Gutless Puke Known as Missing Mika Zibanejad; The Fire Drury & Laviolette Vibes Continue To Burn Strong, Rangers’ Rock Bottom Numbers Sink To New Lows, Reader Feedback, The Great Eight Completes Classy Chase of The Great One, Standings & More

Yeah, yeah, yeah – I’m way late to the dance – but as they say, “better late than never!” However, such an adage/cliche can only be applied to the tardiness of this particular GAME REVIEW blog that you’re reading right now – and not the Rangers – who on Saturday afternoon, got demolished once again by their Hudson River rivals, the New Jersey Devils – and as they did by a 4-0 final score. Despite the red-and-black attack missing their two best players (Jack Hughes and Dougie Hamilton) – and despite the Blueshirts having two days off before making the short trek to Newark – and despite the fact that “Lavy’s Lot” desperately needed these two-points in the standings in the worst of ways too – and simply put – and the Rangers did not show up. Not one iota. They may as well have skated around the slums of Newark, NJ with white towels in their hands.

Greetings and salutations everyone and welcome to another blog here on BlueCollarBlueShirts.com. HIDEOUS.

That opening sentence?

Then I put more effort into writing that than what the Rangers did on Saturday.

This too:

Six more games to go and then we’ll all get our long-and-richly deserved break from these losers.

The series that will always go down as the pinnacle of this Rangers’ core. It’s been nothing but downhill ever since – and yep, you know it – as I first said after the Panthers’ six-game ousting of the Blueshirts in last year’s Eastern Conference Final.

Off puck drop late Sunday night – then yeah – I’m way belated with this GAME REVIEW blog.

But at least I’m here now, am I right?

As noted previously throughout these past few months, and about 8383843893983983 times over at that; then I’m working a ton of overtime at the real j-o-b, and in turn, my free time, time that I use to write these blogs, has been extremely limited.

(And so much for sleep these days too – and especially after the 18-hour shift I worked on Saturday!)

However, and call this a disease, call it mental illness or call it what you want – and I still carve out all of my break time at work around these daily bouts known as Blueshirt contests – and where sadly these days – then I’m probably just better off working through my breaks than watching the Rangers!

Since I still continue to live-tweet these miserable matches from my office at work (and you can find all of my real-time thoughts and opinions from these games here: https://x.com/NYCTheMiC ), then following Saturday’s 4-0 matinee loss in N.J., and I wrote how this blog would be delayed.

Immediately, I received a bunch of feedback – both online and in-person.

Here are the six best responses that I got:

“Waiting 24-hours will insure it (this GAME REVIEW blog that you’re reading right now) will not be a rant that would be well deserved.” – Friend of the site, Tom B.

“I give you all the credit in the world for still writing about this disappointing and largely unmotivated group. I feel bad for the guys that are trying, but who are also being caught in the swamp of surrendered veteran players.” – Another fellow friend of the site, Linda H.

“I don’t know how you do it. The NY Rangers are a mockery of a travesty of a shame! Lavy should make himself a healthy scratch for the rest of the season! A total waste! Watching these guys is sickening! Six more freaking games to go. Please season, be gone!” – Another reader, Nick M.

“Don’t you get tired of writing the same old shit after every game? Nothing has changed. Just copy and paste what you wrote last time – and that way, you’ll save a lot of time!” – One more reader, John Z.

“Bro, you’re actually going to go home after work tonight and write about this shit? The Rangers suck ass! You’re a loser!” – My pal from work, who I was watching the Rangers vs. Devils game with, and a Devil fan at that, Roger W., aka “Rabbi Roger!”

“I don’t know how you do it. 40-hours of overtime this week and then you rush home and write about a bad hockey team that you like?” – One of my bosses, Christy M.

And the best burn of them all:

“Why do you keep writing about this team? It’s obvious that you’ve mailed it in – but not as bad as the Blueshirts have mailed it in!” – One of my friends, and a notorious (and disgusting) Islander fan, Billy W.

While I still maintain that both Peter Laviolette and Chris Drury should be shown the door at the end of the season; then that opinion still doesn’t excuse the lack of effort from the FAT CATS, as clown coach or not – and they don’t show any drive, passion or emotion at all. As noted many times on this site throughout the past few years (and I was the first to do so – so I’ll give myself a pat on the back here)- and you can fire all of the coaches that you want – but at the end of the day, all of this falls upon the golden shoulders of THE FAT CATS!

Once again, and right down to the 4-0 final score – and the Rangers continued to sink to new lows on Saturday afternoon.

(The only good thing for me personally? Then since I was at work, then I had to miss my local watering hole’s watch party, thus preventing me from falling to 1-8 on the season! That will have to wait for next Saturday when the Rangers play visitor in Carolina!)

It’s just amazing that this team continues to find new rock bottom lows – as every time that you think that there is no more earth to uncover – and BLAMMO – the Rangers bust out the dynamite and find new lows to sink to.

For your consideration, then just the black-and-white REAL numbers – and none of that made-up analytical junk:

— 9:50 – as that’s how long it took the Rangers to get their first shot on goal of the game – and of course – it was Jonny Brodzinski who forced Jacob Markstrom into making his first save too. So much for any sense of urgency at all out of the FAT CATS.

— 0-2 – as in the Rangers’ power-play, and one that’s now 2 of their last 43 tries – but don’t fret yet – Lavy will still continue to skate out the same five or six players – because after all – “they’re working hard!”

— 17.2% – as in the Rangers’ 27th overall ranked power-play. And as we all know – the cord has been ripped out of this power-play many moons ago too!

— Three out of four – as the Rangers, and for the third time in their past four games played – allowed another short-handed goal to be scored against them.

— 50%, as in the Blueshirts’ 1 of 2 penalty kill.

— 81.4%, which is good for the seventh overall PK units in the league – and one that was once first-overall – and as they were at the turn of the calendar. Furthermore? Should the Rangers allow another power-play goal to be scored against them on Monday (Tampa), then there’s a good shot that they’ll sink to 13th-overall (depending on other games played – and where the percentage points are extremely close among the league too).

— .800, which was CZAR IGOR’s save percentage after his 3GA, 12 saves, day in Newark. However, two goals were on the Blueshirts’ defense themselves, but then again, this also brings us to…

— ZERO – as in how many goals the Rangers scored on Saturday – and as you all know – “you can’t win if you can’t score.”

— Another ZERO – as in how many times the Blueshirts have pulled off a multi-goal comeback win this season. Want more? Then try this out for size too:

— 0-8, as in how many times this season, since Veteran’s Day, where the Rangers, while whenever on a two-game winning streak, couldn’t make it “heave ho, three in a row.”

— And 8 – as after Saturday, and the Rangers have now been shut out eight times this season.

Despite all of these terrible black-and-white numbers, then it was was what happened in living color that was most painful to witness.

Take a gander, in the event that you haven’t already seen this latest act, one full of yellow-backed cowardice from the man stealing $8.5M from owner James Dolan, this season:

Do I have to spell it out for you again – and for the 76th time this season too?

Here you have the mental midget, Missing Mika, in another do-or-die game, where let’s also not forget, he’s allegedly a team leader as well (or at least that’s what we’re supposed to believe whenever we see that “A” sewn on the left corner of his chest) – and during a scrum in a 1-0 game to boot – and here’s Maggot Mika just WATCHING, while also doing figure-eights, as his teammates are involved in a line brawl.

(Holy bad grammar Batman – but that speaks to my level of irateness!)

For all of the bad Blueshirts’ hockey that we’ve seen this season – and this was the most offensive thing that I’ve seen thus far – and that says a ton.

A leader who runs away as his soldiers are getting pummeled.

If that was the case in the late 1700s, then we’d all be paying taxes to the English crown right now.

An AI rendering of JFK had he been a goalie against a Rangers’ power-play this season.

For the 6778679868967986th time during the past three-years on this site – three words for you:

MIKA MUST GO!

As noted before, while I don’t harbor the same disdain for the other half of the BFF pair, Christopher James Kreider (and where many of you guys and gals do – and I get it) – but I’ve also accepted that his time on Broadway has reached its end too.

And perhaps the one way, the only way, to get Mika to waive his horrendous NMC contract, one that runs through 2030, is by trading Kreider over the summer.

However, general manager Chris Drury shouldn’t be the one to do it.

Instead, a new GM should make that deal – while also having the right to select his new coach for a new and emerging core too.

But sadly and alas – and I’m a broken record again – but of course – then I can only work with the material that’s given to me.

However, you can just visit the archives of this site for all of it (located on the right-hand site of this page) – as I won’t bore you with my “Greatest Hits” again.

By now, you’re sick of it – and just like how I am sick with this 2024-25 bunch.

As noted before, while it’s probably best if the Rangers spit out K’Andre Miller from their ranks; but at the same time – then realistically, who else is out there to fill a Top LD position? And yep – they should have never traded Ryan Lindgren either. After all, have you seen Juuse Parssinen and Calvin de Haan these days? Photo Credit: ESPN/M$GN

Long before Devil fans (which equates for 10% of the attendance, as the other 90% were either Ranger fans or empty seats) were routinely trolling Igor Shesterkin with sing-song chants of his first name, “EEEE-GORE, EEEE-GORE, EEEE-GORE!” – and there was never one point throughout the sixty-minutes of slog as witnessed on Saturday afternoon where the Rangers ever showed any interest at all in winning.

All of the dry hair on their heads as they hit the locker room after the final horn told us as much.

In fact, you got the feeling that if the Blueshirts could, then they’d forfeit their final six games of the season, and as a result, get a jump-start on their summer golf game.

Such sentiment was echoed throughout the ESPN broadcast, where even notorious Rangers’ villain, P.K. Slewban, was just in a state of shock about how little the Blueshirts cared.

Legendary Blueshirt, Mark Messier (you may have heard of him), was just as disgusted – and where most likely, in about two-weeks time, then we’ll start hearing all of the discourse about #11 taking over the club – and for about the eleventh time since his 2004 retirement too!

(And as I said last time, following the unnecessary 2023 firing of Gerard Gallant – then why not? After all, it’s not like Messier could do any worse than the rest of the clowns that have been given the reins!)

The first half (30-minutes) of this match was largely boring – and as 12:30PM weekend puck drops usually tend to be.

The Rangers, as previously noted, needed nearly ten-minutes to get their first SOG.

By the end of the first frame, and still without a goal on the scoreboard, and the Devils had out-shot the rotten Big Apple club by a 7-4 margin.

(For what it’s worth, the Devils were initially credited with eleven first period SOG. The stat was amended prior to the second period, which meant two things – one, where did the other four shots on goal go – and two – this just hurt CZAR IGOR’s save percentage – but it’s not like this stat matters in the grand scheme of things either.)

If there was one thing that was apparent following the first period, then it was the fact that the Devils got a lot of chances, but perhaps without their best player, Jack Hughes, and their best defenseman too, Dougie Hamilton, in the line-up – and the Devils were unable to finish.

Such thoughts soon became void.

Admittedly, and if you haven’t forgot about it already, then the Rangers showed some signs of life during the opening five-minutes of the second-stanza – and wouldn’t you know it – they were soon rewarded for it.

During an elongated attack and Justin Dowling high-sticked the “one step forward, two steps back” K’Andre Miller.

But alas, this is the Rangers’ power-play of today – and as result – there wasn’t a man-up goal to be seen.

What we did see?

A CZAR IGOR short-handed save made on Jesper Bratt (or as my friend Roger called him at the time, “BRATMAN!”) – which at this point of the match, was the best scoring chance yet for either side.

And lest I forget – we also saw Zibanejad, from a foot away, and at a wide-open net no less, somehow shoot the puck right into Markstrom’s pad.

But don’t worry – he’ll never miss any power-play time.

After all, the word “accountability” isn’t in Laviolette’s vocabulary.

As we crossed the half-way mark of the game/period, then that’s when things opened up.

At the 10:52 mark, Sam Carrick went off for interfering with Stefan Noesen.

Four-seconds later (that’s the 10:56 mark for you math majors), and Mr. Unibrow himself, Timo Meier, immediately scored following a Nico Hischier faceoff win, and then on the pass that followed from Luke Hughes.

1-0, like that – and where the Rangers’ PK, once best in the league, was beat again.

But wait – it gets worse.

Not even less than a minute following Meier’s goal (11:49 mark to be precise), then we had that line scrum as depicted above.

Prior to the fisticuffs, and Mercer had tripped Lafreniere.

As a result of the scrum, the one where that pissant in the #93 jersey just watched and couldn’t be bothered with, and both Vincent Trocheck and Timo Meier took off-setting penalties.

End result?

Another Rangers’ power-play.

And another short-handed goal allowed too.

At the 12:23 mark of this here second period and BLAMMO – Bratt, who had previously been denied on a breakaway short-handed attempt, evened the score against CZAR IGOR – and on can you imagine this – a 3 x 1 – which as a result, upped the Devils’ lead on the scoreboard to 2-0 too.

Double-whammy – and especially when you consider the fact that Markstrom didn’t have to make a save of his own during these two-minutes.

At this rate, and due to his elite puck-handling skills – and Laviolette would be better off having CZAR IGOR out there as a skater during Ranger power-plays, while Jonathan Quick tends the net.

Equally as bad for the Blueshirts?

Then, and now down by two goals – and they just gave up.

That is – except for CZAR IGOR – who continued to fend off the Devils from making this 3-0 – as he made a bushel of saves as the period approached its conclusion.

The Devils opened the third-and-final frame by being content to sit back – while also allowing the Rangers to turn over the puck at will.

That’s why the red-and-black attack finished this period with only four shots on goal – but of course – they also scored on half of them (50%) too.

As the woe-be-gone Rangers seemed more interested in catching a post-game meal during their bus ride home to New York at Wo Hop rather than winning this game; and it was Meier, one more time, this time while at even-strength, who ended all such futile comeback thoughts – and as he did at the FOXWOODS FINAL FIVE mark.

3-0 – and while he didn’t deserve it – then this is when all of the negative chants directed at CZAR IGOR were showered upon him.

And I get it – as after all, that’s what hockey fans do.

But the mouth-breathers in Newark erred when singling out the Rangers’ goalie.

Instead, all such booing and derision should have been directed at Mika Zibanejad – and where Blueshirt backers should’ve joined in unison with Devil fans too!

Down to four-minutes remaining, and Laviolette, in a half-hearted attempt when hoping for a comeback, decided to pull CZAR IGOR – and as if the Rangers were going to score three goals in four-minutes of time too.

Just twelve-seconds later and the Devils’ captain, Nico H., put an end to such a comical notion.

4-0, following his empty net goal.

This defeat was another contender for “WORST LOSS OF THE SEASON” – but where all of these losses feel like they’ve been conflated into one – and as this 2024-25 season will ultimately be remembered as too.

Another conflation?

The usual same-old-shit – aka the Mental Mika post-game interview:

“I feel like I’m just saying the same thing over and over again. Honestly, I have nothing new. I don’t even know how make it interesting for you. I feel like it’s not bad the whole sixty-minutes, but it’s collapses in the game where something happens. It’s the whole season. We’re close to dead last. That’s not good enough.”

Deport.

Make it happen Donald!

Here is our 82-game mantra, which is also known as my 33-word daily disclaimer, that I post on this site after every game played:

“WHATEVER THE RANGERS DO FROM NOW UNTIL THE TRADE DEADLINE DOESN’T MATTER. THEY CAN ONLY BE JUDGED BY WHATEVER THEY DO FOLLOWING THE DEADLINE AND BY WHAT THEY DO IN THE 2025 PLAYOFFS!”

In other words, seventy-six down, six to go, and then the real hockey, the only games that matter, begin.

But at this rate – will the Rangers even be there for the real hockey?

Magic Eight Ball is saying “Are you on crack?”

In case you missed it, then here’s where I last left off – the referees giving the Rangers a win on a silver-platter:

NYR/MIN 4/2 Review: The Book of Gabe on Broadway Begins, The “Find A New Way To Lose” Rangers Actually “Find A Rare Way To Win” – By Getting a Ton of Help From the Referees (But You’ll Take It), The Word “Wild” Doesn’t Always Imply “Entertaining,” Sam Rosen & JD To Reunite – But Not on M$GN, Will Cuylle Wins Weakest Steven McDonald Extra Effort Award Race in History, Putrid Power-Play Sinks to New Lows, Kreider Demoted, Standings & More

I am begging the hockey gods that these daily “Lavy’s Lounge” segments become “Q’s Corner” or “Torts’ Talks” next season on this site!

As far as any pregame news, then the Rangers had off on Thursday following their gift of a win against Minnesota on Wednesday.

On Friday, the Rangers, wow, and I couldn’t believe it either, had a mandatory practice.

Not much was gained from the skate – and we can now say this with 100% confidence after watching their god-awful power-play “work their magic” on Saturday.

It should also be noted that Zero Zibanejad missed the practice with what the team described as a “sickness,” but where I wonder if that was a typo for “suckness.”

Here was Laviolette’s line-up for the seventy-sixth game of this 2024-25 season:

FIRST LINE: Panarin/Trocheck/Othmann

SECOND LINE: Lafreniere/Miller/Perreault

THIRD LINE: Cuylle/Zibanejad/Brodzinski

FOURTH LINE: Berard/Carrick/Kreider

FIRST PAIR: Miller/Borgen

Kim Jung Drury’s 2024 deadline and summer, combined with his work this season, has earned him an ousting.

No point in going any further about this game, so in turn, just what I said in real-time from my Tweeter account (https://x.com/NYCTheMiC).

Let’s get this truncated GAME REVIEW segment out of the way, then close with everything else that’s left to be discussed.

FIRST PERIOD

SECOND PERIOD

THIRD PERIOD

And here’s the insufferable Devils’ Tweeter/X roasting the Rangers again too – and following the red-and-black second home shutout of the season against the Blueshirts to boot:

Congratulations to Alex Ovechkin, who on Sunday, finally surpassed Wayne Gretzky for all-time goals (895). This record, once thought to never be broken, was handled with pure class – and from all parties involved. Photo Credit: Washington Capitals

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, or perhaps was comatose as well, then by now, you already know that Alex Ovechkin, on Sunday against the Islanders, eclipsed Wayne Gretzky’s NHL record of 894 goals – and as he did by scoring his 895th red-lamper against fellow countryman, Ilya Sorokin.

This event was the biggest thing to ever happen at the Isles’ new barn, the IBS Arena – so much so – that the secondary ticket market featured unprecedented spikes – including tickets that surpassed the $12K range.

(And just imagine had Ovechkin not broken the record? Then those schmucks would have paid eye-popping prices just to see an Islanders’ game!)

As noted in my books, blogs and social media postings – and among all “RANGER KILLERS” – and I harbor no resentment at all for Ovechkin.

I’m a fan.

Unlike Sidney Crosby, and there’s really nothing to hate about Ovi’s game – as he’s not a crybaby – nor was he ever protected by the league as #87 in Pittsburgh ever was.

But I will say, and this happens all the time as time moves on and as players become Hall of Fame legends – then I think that I can speak for most Ranger fans when I say the following:

We all respect the hell out of Crosby today.

He definitely improved the game.

Furthermore, while on the topic of Ovi v. Crosby, two textbook definitions of the phrase “generational talent” – and I think there was always more resentment for Crosby over Ovechkin from day one anyway – as many believe, including yours truly, that the 2004 NHL Draft was rigged in Pittsburgh’s favor.

I’m not going to rewrite the whole story again (it’s all in there for you in my “Ranger Killers” book, which is linked below), but Pittsburgh was bankrupt, in danger of moving/folding and despite the Blueshirts’ having the best odds to win the draft lottery in that lockout year – then wouldn’t you know it – Crosby was gifted to Pittsburgh – and with a returning Mario Lemieux waiting for him in the wings.

And while the Penguins still faced issues with bankruptcy – it was Crosby, with the Super Mario boost, that saved them.

Obviously, and New York could’ve signed me or you – and they’d still be the most profitable franchise in the league.

Worse than that?

They could even sign Mika Zibanejad to an eight-year contract that runs to the year 2030!

Oops!

You can find all of the 895th goal footage and celebrations out there on Tweeter/X, but not only do I want to congratulate Ovechkin – but I also want to say what a great job, a classy affair as well, in the way that the NHL handled it.

Despite these liberal pukes in Canada (there was a SportsNet article lamenting about a BIG BAD PUTIN FAN surpassing a “heel-turn” Wayne Gretzky – because as you know – #99 is no good to them anymore ever since he pledged his allegiance to Donald Trump) and the limp-wristed crybaby himself, Larry Brooks too, denouncing Ovechkin (and all because he hasn’t asked for the death of the Russian President – and these people never consider the fact that Ovi has family that lives there – so why would he ever do that in the first place?) – and the NHL, Ovechkin and Gretzky couldn’t have done this any better.

(Holy run-on sentence Batman!)

Following his goal against Sorokin and the game stopped – and as it should have.

Ovi’s family came down to celebrate with him – as did Gary Bettman and the gracious Wayne Gretzky.

While you have to think that deep-down, “The Great One” would have preferred to have gone to the grave without “The Great Eight” taking away the best record of the 79867986867986986 records that Gretzky holds; but throughout this chase – and #99 couldn’t have been any more classier.

Gretzky, who once surpassed his role-model, a mentor, and a friend, Gordie Howe – and as he did when he scored his 802nd goal, thus moving past #9’s grand total of 801 NHL goals (and I’m not going to do all of the WHA stuff here, nor the lockouts and COVID stuff either, stuff that yes, impacts these records – and as the playing styles from each era do too); brought up how gracious and kind Gordie once was to him when he took sole control of the record.

And one day, should it ever happen, and someone goes on to beat whatever total that Ovechkin finishes up with – then I think that Ovi will do the same for that player.

Unless you’re one of these political nutjobs who can’t appreciate what this was – then this was not only a historic moment – but a heartwarming goal of unity.

This will be a memory that not only will live on forever – but one that brings the entire hockey community together too.

Even though I detest the Islanders, then I must tip my cap to Ilya Sorokin too – as following the game – he was there to give his stick – the one that Ovi beat – as a token of his appreciation.

Sorokin, now an answer to a future Jeopardy question, tried his best to stop Ovi – as he didn’t want to be the guy to give it up.

Despite being unsuccessful in his mission, then he, and just like anyone else, was supportive and elated about this holy historic hockey feat.

It’s funny.

Seven-years ago and Ovi, who was always going to go to the Hall of Fame regardless, had become the answer to “Who is the best hockey player to have never won a Stanley Cup?”

Once finally winning the piece of silver that had always eluded to him in June of 2018 – and I think that we’ve seen the real Ovi shine through.

Between his celebrations, good-hearted nature, philanthropy (he always works with outfits that benefit children) and being an excellent family man, then like Gretzky, and Howe before him – and Ovi has been a perfect model representative for this great sport of ours – which is also to mean – don’t listen to the radical left-wing morons that are presently trying to make him a villain.

Congratulations to #8 once again.

And now, I must ask you this:

Does Ovi hit 900 come the end of the season?

And will he stay in Washington for the foreseeable future and go for a 1,000 goals – or will he finish his epic hockey career in his native Russia, in the KHL – and as has been rumored for some time now?

Up next for Ovi?

Trying to win his second Stanley Cup this Spring – and where unlike last year – then he won’t see the Rangers in the first-round – and especially not after the results of all games played from Sunday’s NHL slate.

The Rangers did it to themselves – and how about Jeff Gorton’s Montreal Canadiens these days too – and a Habs’ team that now has a firm control over the second-and-final wild card berth in the East. Photo Credit: ESPN

There’s no reason in lamenting about the Rangers’ placing in the standings.

After all, they did it to themselves.

Had they won three of the bad twenty losses that they have sustained this season – then today, they’d have a playoff spot themselves.

And personally – I don’t even want to see them get in anyway – as such a result could prevent the mass exodus that’s needed this summer – and that includes the GM, the head coach and the FAT CATS too.

There are mercifully only a half-dozen games left of this miserable 2024-25 Rangers’ campaign.

Here they are:

— Monday, 4/7, hosting a Tampa Bay team that’s trying to win the Atlantic Division, thus avoiding a first-round meeting with either Florida or Tampa.

— Wednesday, 4/9, hosting the last “easy on-paper” game of the season, the Flyers – and where the only thing to look forward to is the JD & Rosen reunion that the greatest in the biz to do it today, TNT, is providing for us.

— Thursday, 4/10 at IBS, against the Islanders. Outside of the rivalry that no longer has juice, then this game will help to determine draft positioning – and what first-round pick that the Penguins will receive from the Rangers too (the end result of the J.T. Miller trade to Vancouver, as the Canucks then flipped the Blueshirts’ first-rounder received in the transaction to the Penguins).

— Saturday, 4/12 in Raleigh. The Hurricanes have a firm control over the second-seed in the Metro Division, which means that they might not skate a full team – and they’ll probably have their back-up in net too.

— Monday, 4/14 in Florida, against a Panther team, that much like the Lightning, wants to avoid a strenuous first-round series against their Sunshine State rivals or Toronto.

— Thursday, 4/17, Game 82, a last dance with Ryan McDonagh and the Bolts.

Maybe the Rangers will win one of the six.

Before getting to the PLUGS segment, then in our last news of note, and the Rangers practiced on Sunday.

K’Andre Miller was out – and with the same designation as Mika had on Friday – “sickness” – and where yes – that could be a typo for “suckness” too!

The Blueshirts spent the bulk of their time by practicing their power-play – and as if that matters anymore.

Get me to the end of the season.

Speaking of the end, we’re here now, which brings us to…

PLUGS TIME! (Buy a book and support my Rangers’ induced therapy bills. After all, I don’t run ads on this site!)
