– TWO GOOD – The Blueshirts have allowed two goals or fewer in 13 of 17 playoff games this year, including 12 of the last 15 games. The Rangers rank third in the NHL – and lead all teams that have not been eliminated – in goals against per game (2.12) in the 2015 Playoffs.
– SHUTTING THE DOOR – New York limited Tampa Bay to 22 shots on goal in the contest, which is tied for the fewest shots on goal the team has allowed in one game in the 2015 Playoffs.
– PLAYING THE GAME – Tonight’s contest was the Rangers’ 74th playoff game since the start of the 2012 Playoffs. The Blueshirts have played more playoff games than any other NHL team over the span. The Rangers also rank second in the NHL in playoff games played since the start of the 2006 Playoffs (110). The Blueshirts have played more playoff games than any NHL team who has played in the Eastern Conference in every season since 2006 (Note: Detroit is the only NHL team that has played more playoff games than the Rangers since 2006, and they were in the Western Conference through the conclusion of the 2012-13 season).

– Chris Kreider led all skaters with seven hits, recorded two shots on goal, and registered one takeaway in 18:17 of ice time. He ranks third in the NHL – and leads the Rangers – in hits (70) in the 2015 Playoffs.
– Dan Girardi tied for the team-high with three blocked shots, was credited with three hits, and registered one shot on goal in 16:29 of ice time in the contest. The Rangers alternate captain leads the NHL in blocked shots (61) and is tied for third among NHL defensemen in hits (42) in the 2015 Playoffs.
– Marc Staal skated in his 85th career playoff game with the Rangers in tonight’s contest, tying Don Maloney for third place on the franchise’s all-time playoff games played list. He also passed Ron Greschner for sole possession of second place in career playoff games played by a Rangers defenseman.
– Ryan McDonagh skated in his 79th career playoff game with the Rangers in tonight’s contest, tying Rod Gilbert for seventh place on the franchise’s all-time playoff games played list.
– Carl Hagelin skated in his 71st career playoff game with the Rangers in tonight’s contest, passing Mark Messier and Jeff Beukeboom for sole possession of 10th place on the franchise’s all-time playoff games played list.
